As 2025 is a General Conference year, it is also time for elections for the ICME Committee Board and Chairperson. Elections will take place in person during the ICOM Triennial Conference in Dubai.

We warmly invite all interested ICME members to submit their nominations for the position of Chairperson or Board Member.

How to Submit Your Nomination

Please send the following documents to icom.icme@gmail.com:

• Your Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• A recent photo
• A brief candidate statement
• Your ICOM membership number
• Proof of ICOM membership payment for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025

ICME Election Rules (Section 9 of ICME Rules):

Elections are held every three years, normally during the ICOM Triennial Conference. All eligible ICME members may stand for election. Candidate bios will be circulated two months prior to the election. Members unable to attend in person may vote via proxy. The Chairperson is elected first, followed by other Board members. All terms are for three years and renewable once. No individual may serve for more than 12 consecutive years. After the election, the new Board will designate roles such as Secretary, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, and Webmaster.

What It Means to Serve on the ICME Board

Serving on the ICME Board is a meaningful commitment. Depending on your role, responsibilities may take between 5 and 20+ hours per month. Active engagement is vital to keep our community vibrant and our programs—newsletters, workshops, publications, and conferences—running strong.
